CRB Monitor's founder and CEO, Steve Kemmerling will be leading a virtual session titled "Effectively Understanding Cannabis Risk and Opportunity" with Rob Rowe, Vice President & Senior Counsel for the American Bankers Association:

It’s time to for financial institution’s to update their out-dated cannabis policies and procedures.  Blanket "No Marijuana" or "No Cannabis" policies are increasingly unrealistic and potentially risky for financial institutions, both from unmitigated risk and opportunity cost.  Steve and Rob will discuss:

  • defining various type of "cannabis" and "Cannabis-Related Businesses" and summarize each category's legal/regulatory risk and opportunity
  • current and pending federal legislation that could impact the cannabis industry and its access to financial services
  • how to more effectively create cananbis policies and procedures to reflect today’s market and regulatory realities, without leaving undue risk or opportunity to chance   

This two-day virtual networking event, February 16 - 17, 2021, will gather more than 1,000 attendees from the banking and financial service industries to network and learn from industry experts and peers about the solutions they offer for the banking world.
