Steve Kemmerling

Founder & CEO

Since founding CRB Monitor, Steven has been a thought leader, subject matter expert and data-hound focused on addressing significant challenges around “cannabis banking.” He created and continues to refine many of the terms, taxonomy and frameworks relied upon by financial institutions and regulators as they seek to understand the cannabis industry and formulate relevant and effective policies, procedures and standards.  Prior to founding CRB Monitor, Steven was a corporate M&A investment banker.

James B. Francis, CFA

Chief Research Officer

A 30-year veteran of the financial services industry, including portfolio management and research at Deutsche Bank, Northern Trust and State Street. Most recently was Head of Research at ETF Managers Group, where he managed one of the world’s largest cannabis-themed ETFs.

Paul Chaveriat

Chief Revenue Officer

A global business leader, with 15 years experience building sales teams, expanding into new markets, and launching products across USA, Asia and Europe.  Career has focused on financial and market data and corporate intelligence while at SNL Financial/S&P Global.

Chuck Wigand

Head of Product and Engineering

An accomplished full-stack engineer, product leader and business strategist creating profitable digital products, taking them from conception to market. For 15+ years Chuck has led products for startups as well as enterprises such as IHS Markit.

Jill Seaks

Head of Data

Jill joined the CRB Monitor team following a 20+ year career at SNL Financial and S&P Global.  Throughout her tenure, her focus has been on the data, processes, and systems needed to deliver exceptional data and insights to clients.  Her experience includes expansions into new industries and geographies, designing and building a data-driven workflow system, leading technology initiatives in data automation best practices and tools, and integrating data and processes from mergers and acquisitions.

Brett has covered the development of the U.S. public and private capital markets for more than 20 years as an award-winning journalist, editor, publisher and entrepreneur. Brett was the founder and publisher at MarketNexus Media, an angel-funded digital news and events producer focused on the growth of the public venture capital market. Before MarketNexus Brett served as the founding editor and publisher at DealFlow Media until its acquisition by TheStreet.com (TST) in 2012.
